Michel Potts holds court with a deck of cards.
Michel Potts, is a working pro in Bangkok, Thailand, known for subtle, entertaining card magic. Material in his eighth release includes the Parallaxis stack (two effects), a subtle gaff that amps up a Dai Vernon classic (two versions), a well-disguised double force, an audience-engaging "psychic" effect with letter cards, the revelation of a thought-of drawing or photo, and an easy false shuffle to retain a partial stack. Seven items in all! 38 pages.
Parallaxis
A diabolical stack reminiscent of the Koran Deck or Docc Hilford’s Cassandra Deck, but without any duplicate cards.
The Same Old Crap
A unique take on the classic 21-Card Trick that reveals the mentally thought of card on the first deal and produces that card in a thoroughly mystifying fashion.
Emotional Response
Dai Vernon’s famous card effect transformed into a minor miracle without ever once looking at the faces of the cards.
The Fateful Eight
A cleverly disguised self-working card trick that doesn’t use cards.
The Spelltacular Force
The legendary 10-20 Force redesigned to be far more deceptive.
The Stegnostic Index
The spectator genuinely makes a secret wish. Ten envelopes are introduced and one is randomly selected. The chosen envelope contains ten cards, each printed with a letter. Following a mixing and spelling procedure by the spectator, the letters become rearranged into a message that reveals if their secret desire has either been granted or postponed. Because there are ten different outcomes, the effect can immediately be performed with another spectator.
The Derivational Shuffle
An easy false shuffle that retains a partial stack.
