Okay, this isn't a common effect for Alakazam and we know it's not for everyone, but boy are the laughs delivered when performed in front of the right group!
We took this effect to a few recent conventions and guess what, we sold out at every convention!
‘Look out magic ding dong, here’s the next best thing!’ Magic House
What is the effect?
We present it as a serious personality read. First we explain what each of the five symbols represents.
The circle represents someone who suffers from what we know as Imposter Syndrome. Someone whose talent and skill is obvious to everyone, but they keep going in circles looking for approval from their peers.
The cross represents someone for whom everything in life seems like a big decision. No matter how small, it will be an important decision for them that is on their minds!
The Wavy Lines represent someone who goes with the flow. They often do what they want without really thinking about it. Their lives have many ups and downs, but that doesn't bother them because they live in the moment!
The square represents someone who is constantly chasing goals. Once they achieve that goal, they change direction and pursue yet another new goal. These people are usually very hardworking and focused.
The star represents someone who feels their life is complete. They have achieved everything they wanted in life, whether it has to do with family, friends or work.
When all five cards are shown, turn them over and mix them. You tell your spectator that they will be attracted to one of the cards and the card they are attracted to will tell them what kind of person they are. Your spectator touches the back of one of the cards (free choice) and you can imagine what happens next!
The image we designed is playful and fun and is sure to generate great laughs when performed in front of the right group!
ESP'Ness is also great for bachelor parties!
