David Cresey's A Live Close-Up Lecture
Most people know David Cresey as the manufacturer of Mouth Coils and Throw Streamers. His friends know him for his offbeat and often sarcastic sense of humor. Very few know that he is also an accomplished close-up magician and has lectured all over the United States.
This 45-minute video is a live recording of his lecture, given in 1992 in Delaware and features performances and explanations to routines with cards and coins.
Routines performed and explained:
►Card Routine: A selected card is found after many card flourishes and a false ending. David also teaches a few flourishy false cuts.
►Bag Routine: A spectator removes six cards from a deck, signs one, the six cards are torn into quarters. The 24 pieces are tossed into a paper bag and a spectator mixes them in the bag. You then reach into the bag and remove the four pieces that form the selected signed card.
►Silver, Copper & Brass: A multiphase coin routine where coins appear, multiply and transpose.
►Coins Through The Table: A very quick and direct coins through table routine.
►Fake Forces: David shows various applications for the famed Ted Lesley Marked Deck.
Running time: Approximately 45 minutes.
