Dai Vernon's Twisting The Aces, has for decades been regarded as an all-time classic and thankfully, the new wave of 21st Century card experts still carry the torch for this perennial favourite. Over the years, new additions and presentations are published, adding even further interest to this wonderful effect.
Australian card man Ian Baxter admits to having performed TTA for sixty years, starting just three years following its publication in 1960. Up until recently, he performed it totally 'as is' from Dai Vernon's More Inner Secrets Of Card Magic.
"Tampering with a Vernon treasure such as TTA, can often promote controversy" admits Baxter. "Releasing T plus B is something I considered very carefully. Yes, I am very pleased with this, but if card men are happier with Vernon's original, then offering this will do no harm. The choice, as always, remains optional."
And so, this brand-new release becomes available. Reviewer David Jones writes:
"Dai Vernon's Twisting The Aces is an undisputed classic of card magic. An almost perfect card trick, its only problem perhaps, has been the lack of a definitive climax. Ian Baxter has addressed this issue with his usual style and in 'Twist', provides a stunning climax to the effect, while still following the original structure of Vernon's routine. Definitely worthy of your consideration."
